Compare journeys, not headline prices
A useful safari price describes a specific journey. The same number of days can mean very different experiences depending on the route, room category, vehicle arrangements and activities. Start by comparing the same dates, traveller numbers and level of service.
Our safari pages are a starting point for a conversation. Where a rate has not been confirmed for sale, we show price on request. Your dated written quotation should identify the payment currency, services, exclusions and any conditions that affect the total.
Choose where to spend your time
Moving between several parks adds transfer time and can add transport costs. Staying longer in fewer places may create more time for wildlife watching without increasing the number of nights. Think about the experiences you value most before adding another destination.
Road travel and fly-in travel have different cost structures. A domestic flight may reduce a long road transfer, but airstrip transfers, baggage limits and onward connections still matter. Ask for the complete arrangement rather than comparing the flight fare alone.
Accommodation is more than a star rating
A camp’s location, room type, meal plan and the activities it can support can matter as much as its comfort level. Ask whether you are staying inside or outside the wildlife area you want to explore, and what that means for daily driving.
Seasonal availability, single occupancy, family rooms and children’s ages can change the quote. Be clear about who shares with whom and the children’s ages at the time of travel. A family total is often more useful than multiplying one adult rate.
Check the complete scope
Look for an itemised explanation of transfers, park access, meals, drinking water, accommodation and guided activities. Check whether balloon flights, boat trips, cultural visits or domestic flights are included or optional. Also allow for insurance, entry documentation, tips and personal spending.
Tell us whether your budget is per person or for the whole party, and whether it covers the Kenya arrangements only. A clear budget does not need to be a commitment; it gives us a sensible starting point for discussing trade-offs.
Ask for a proposal you can understand
Before confirming, read the booking, payment, amendment and cancellation conditions that apply to the actual services. Ask how long the quotation remains valid and what must be reconfirmed. Keep a copy of the agreed itinerary and terms.
If a proposal exceeds your budget, tell us which parts matter most. Changing travel dates, the route or accommodation style can be more useful than cutting time from every destination.
